Hibiscus tea, also called “sour tea”, is a fragrant tea made from the dried calyxes of the tropical Hibiscus sabdariffa flowers. The hibiscus sabdariffa species is said to be native to West Africa. It has a refreshingly tart taste, similar to cranberry but with floral and citrus flavours.
